Millions and millions of dollars are spent by countries for preventing drug usage, treating of the addicts and fighting crimes relating to drugs. The psychological and medical effects are very obvious among addicts as they are unable to function as normal human beings. This drug menace can be however fought. Children have to be made aware about the effects of drugs in schools and at home. Though the problem of drugs may seem impossible to eradicate, nations should take concrete steps to weaken their hold over our society. This is too great a danger to ignore.
